The Postgraduate Research Seminar is an academic event that has been held since 2023, on the initiative of the Master's and Doctoral students at the Institute of Economics of the University of Campinas (IE-Unicamp). It is organized annually by the postgraduates themselves, in partnership with the coordinators of the institute's two stricto sensu postgraduate programs: the one in Economics, and the other in Economic Development.
Also known as the Postgraduate Seminar, the aim of the event is to promote the sharing and discussion of research projects being carried out by IE postgraduate students – and, whenever possible, those from other institutions – regardless of whether they are completed, in progress or at the project stage.
The idea is for the seminar to be an opportunity for these works to be presented and discussed collectively, encouraging interaction between students from IE's Postgraduate Programs in Economics and in Economic Development, and between them and professors, researchers, and other students, from inside and outside the institute.
The Postgraduate Research Seminar is an in-person event, free of charge and open to the entire IE community (undergraduates, postgraduates, professors, researchers, and staff) and the interested public in general (from Unicamp and outside). Its next edition is scheduled for the second half of 2025, when a new Scientific and Organizing Commission will also be set up.
