*Robert Guttmann: Augustus B. Weller Chair in Economics at Hofstra University (USA), he is also affiliated with the Centre d’Économie Paris Nord (CEPN) of the Université Paris XIII in France. Professor Guttmann teaches international economics, monetary economics, financial regulation, and economic integration of the European Union. He is an expert in money and banking, international finance, and monetary theory and has published numerous books and journal articles, including the seminal volumes; “How Credit-Money Shapes the Economy: The United States in a Global System” (M.E. Sharpe, 1994), “Reforming Money and Finance: Toward a New Monetary Regime” (M.E. Sharpe, 1997) and "Finance-Led Capitalism: Shadow Banking, Re-Regulation and the Future of Global Markets" (Palgrave, 2016). He has recently engaged the Climate Change discussion. His main contribution in this regard is ”Eco-Capitalism: Carbon Money, Climate Finance and Sustainable Development (Palgrave, 2018).
